16th Annual Armadillo Classic Hits the Greens September 30

Event Has Raised more than $1.4 Million in 15-year history

One of the most exciting, fun-filled golf events on the calendar, the 16th Annual Texas Roadhouse Armadillo Classic is scheduled to hit the greens again on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The Armadillo Classic will be played, as it has been since its inception at Quail Chase Golf Club in Louisville.

The Armadillo Classic will again offer two flights this year. The day gets underway with registration and donuts beginning at 7 am. The morning flight tees off at 8 am. As the morning golfers come in and the afternoon golfers begin to arrive and register, all the golfers will be treated to a legendary lunch provided by Texas roadhouse. Lunchtime will also include recognitions, awards and prizes as well as a brief Special Olympics presentation and the grand prize raffle drawing.

Texas Roadhouse President Scott Colosi announced the day's preliminary results during lunch.

This year's grand prize is airfare for two anywhere in the continental United States a 2-3 day stay at the Marriott facility of your choice and $250 spending money. Grand prize raffle tickets are just $50 each and can be purchased even if you aren't playing in the outing.

The afternoon flight heads out after lunch at 2 pm.

In addition to golf and lunch, the cost of a foursome includes beverages throughout the day and there will be on-course prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin and others. There will be opportunities to meet Special Olympics athletes on the course and even receive a helping hand from an athlete or maybe two.

The cost for a foursome is $800 this year. There are also sponsorship levels available and all can be purchased on-line. The Texas Roadhouse Armadillo Classic sells out every year, so buy early to reserve your place on the course for this legendary event.
