Texas Roadhouse Armadillo Classic
Celebrates 15 Legendary Years

Event Returns to Quail Chase october 1

It's birthday time for one of Kentucky's most legendary golf fundraising events! The 2014 Texas Roadhouse Armadillo Classic turns 15 this year and it promises to once again be a rollicking good time on the golf course.

This year the event returns to October -- October 1 to be exact -- and also returns to Quail Chase Golf Course in Louisville. It is a day filled with fun, including great prizes and on-course contests, incredible raffle item opportunities and legendary Texas Roadhouse food.

For the third consecutive year, there will be two flights with one going off in the morning at 8 am and another teeing it up at 2 pm. Registration opens one hour before each flight. Between the two flights, there will be a Texas Roadhouse lunch for both groups as well as a Special Olympics presentation at 1 pm.

As always Special Olympics athletes will be out in full force, and golfers will have many opportunities to meet and interact with our athletes while the athletes help out in in various capacities on the course.

The Texas Roadhouse Armadillo Classic for Special Olympics is always one of the most fun and most entertaining events on the local golf calendar, but it sells out annually, so don't miss your chance to be a part of the excitement. You can register on-line now, or you can request more information via e-mail at armadilloclassicinfo@texasroadhouse.com or by calling Rosie at 502-515-7247.

If you can't make it to the Armadillo Classic you can still be a part of the excitement. Two huge raffles that will be drawn at the Armadillo Classic are open to the public! Texas Roadhouse will be giving away a flyaway getaway for two to San Diego that includes round trip airfare for two – within the Continental US, a three night stay at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, breakfast and $100 dining card to Roy's San Diego Waterfront Restaurant. They will also raffle off a Jetaway to Chicago, which includes a private chartered flight for up to seven people - Louisville to Chicago round trip (Courtesy of Flight Options, LLC), snacks and drinks on the plane PLUS spending money! Tickets for each raffle are $50 per ticket (raffles are separate) and can be purchased on-line on the registration page.

Last year, nearly 300 golfers participated in the Texas Roadhouse Armadillo Classic, raising more than $118,000 for Special Olympics. In its first 14 years, the Armadillo Classic has raised more than $1.5 million for Special Olympics Kentucky.

Our most sincere thanks to the wonderful people at Texas Roadhouse who continue to do such amazing work in support of our athletes. In addition to the Armadillo Classic, Texas Roadhouse supports events like the Plane Pull and Polar Plunge, and Texas Roadhouse team members ("Roadies") volunteer at a number of Special Olympics competitions. We are thrilled to have them as one of our Year-Round partners.
