The 2015 Plane Pull season saw events in both Northern Kentucky and Louisville battle the weather to get off the ground, but both ended in success.
The DHL Plane Pull at the DHL Express Hub at CVG Airport in Erlanger raised more than $80,000, aided once again by large contributions from DHL and Southern Air.
The UPS Plane Pull presented by ResCare battled wind and rain throughout the day at Atlantic Aviation, but still produced one of its best days since returning to the airport, raising more than $85,000.
The Plane Pulls feature teams of 20 testing their strength against huge cargo jets to see who can pull the beast 12 feet in the shortest time. Champions are crowned in men's, women's and co-ed divisions. There are also awards for the top individual fundraiser and top fundraising team, the team with the best team cheer and the team with the best team T-shirt or costumes.
Teams must raise a minimum of $1,000 per team to compete and can earn better prizes for their members the more they raise.
