The Party in the Park provides companies and other organizations with a one-stop, turnkey opportunity to honor employees, thank clients or entertain potential new business associates in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Group packages exist that can fit virtually any company budget.
The night begins with dinner in the Village Grove Picnic Area and then fun in the Park. The attractions are broken down into three sections with the entire group moving from section to section as the evening progresses before the PArty in the Park closes with a short program at the Main Stage. Each guest also receives a souvenir of the experience.
Helping Special Olympics athletes achieve their goals has never been such a thrill.

The Party in the Park, reached new heights in 2007 as 700 guests helped to raise an event-record $31,000 for Special Olympics Kentucky. The fundraising total was just one of many thrills on the night as guests were once again treated to a truly unique experience inside Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom.
The night began with a short presentation in the Village Grove Picnic Area before the night's main event began — access for guests to all of Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom's biggest, most thrilling attractions. The pre-party presentations included the introduction of many of the Kentucky athletes and coaches who will represent the state as part of Team USA at the upcoming Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, China.
As in years past, the park was divided into three sections with the group enjoying the park one section at a time. The biggest thrills came at the beginning of the night again as guests were able to ride Chang and T2 as well as the Thrill Carts in section one.
Section two also included a pair of roller coasters in the Twisted Twins and Thunder Run. The night's final section included Greezed Lightning and Superman's Tower of Power to round out the night.
Even after the rides ended the thrills didn't as guests were treated to an impressive magic show by David Garrard (www.davidgarrardmagic.com). Garrard wowed the audience with the finale of sawing his assistant in half.
Party in the Park participants, which included guests from some of the Louisville area's top companies as well as some of Special Olympics Kentucky's most dedicated volunteers, once again raved about their experience at the event.
"It was like being a kid again and reliving part of your youth," said Kyle from Print Tex U.S.A. "You have no worries about money or waiting in long lines. The only worry is waking up with a belly ache."

"It was a lovely event, and I almost felt guilty about being treated so lavishly," added Beth Montgomery of Kindred Health Care. "The weather was perfect. The athletes were inspiring. The food was great. The rides were wonderful. It was a very memorable evening."
Our thanks to everyone who made the success of the 2007 Six Flags Party in the Park possible, especially all of the 2007 Party in the Park sponsors and Party in the Park committee chair Jeff Edds of Morgan Keegan. We especially want to thank everyone at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom for hosting the event, Jim Kunau, Jane Schuster, Pam Laughhead and all of their tremendous staff.
