Two Louisville Skiers Named to Team USA for 2013 World Winter Games
Louisville skiers Kelly McCormick and Ricky Oney have been named to Team USA for the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games, which will be held January 26-February 6, 2013, in Pyeongchang, South Korea. It will be the second trip to the World Winter Games for both, and for Oney an impressive fifth World Games experience overall. More |

Plane Pull Returns to Louisville
The Biggest Challenge in Louisville returns to the River City on Saturday, Sept. 29 when the UPS Plane Pull hits the tarmac at Atlantic Aviation. On hiatus since 2007 the UPS Plane Pull was one of Special Olympics Kentucky's most popular fundraising events before moving downtown as the Big Brown Truck Pull.
Captains Kickoff sessions are scheduled for August 2 at Noon and 5:30 at Atlantic Aviation.

More Than 1,300 Athletes Meet SOKY Strong at EKU for 2012 Summer Games
More than 1,300 Special Olympics athletes and thousands of family, friends and spectators hit the campus of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond SOKY Strong June 1-3 for the 2012 Special Olympics Kentucky State Summer Games. Ride to Win Ready to Rumble Through Central Kentucky
More than 300 motorcycles are set to hit the roads of Central Kentucky on Saturday August 4, as the Ride to Win for Special Olympics takes to the highways and byways of Central Kentucky for the 12th year.
The poker run gets underway from Man O War Harley-Davidson in Lexington with registration from 9-11 am. The route runs from there to the Kickstand in Burgin and then off to Walmart in Lawrenceburg and Georgetown before returning to Man O War Harley, covering more than 100 miles. More |

2012 Flag Football Season Closes With Champions Crowned at Summer Games
As the third SOKY Flag Football Season comes to an end, we would first like to congratulate all 21 Flag Football teams for another outstanding season! Once again, we were blessed with sensational athletes and coaches, volunteer support and exciting team competition throughout the season. Two Regional Flag Football Tournaments were scheduled for this season in NKY and Louisville, as well as the first ever Lexington Invitational Flag Football Tournament. More |

Gymnastics Summer Camp Offered in Lexington
Special Olympics Kentucky coach and 2011 Special Olympics North America Coach of the Year Mary Fehrenbach will be leading a first-of-its-kind Special Olympics Summer Gymnastics Camp this month.
