Kappesser, Luersen Enjoy Experience of a lifetime in japan

From February 27 to March 5, 2005 Louisville Ice Skaters Roger Kappesser and Jeannie Luersen, along with coaches Jimmie Johnson and Lorene Caudill enjoyed the experience of a lifetime as they represented Kentucky and Team USA at the 2005 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Nagano, Japan.

Many of the compatitions at the World Winter Games were held in the same venues that had hosted the Nagano Olympics. In fact, Roger and Jeannie skated in the same building that held the first ever Olympic Ice Hockey Tournament that featured National Hockey League stars.
