New Louisville mud run partners with special Olympics Kentucky
Survive the Stampede

Special Olympics Kentucky is thrilled to partner with The Stampede, Louisville's new mud run event! The Stampede will take place May 19 & 20 off Old Heady Rd. in Louisville.

About The Stampede

Crazy, memorable and most of all, just plain fun. That’s what The Stampede will bring to Louisville, KY. From young to old, participants from throughout the region will converge for this inaugural event of The Stampede series. The Stampede is a cross between a 5k road race, military style obstacle course, cross country race and mud run. All that equals is good ol’ down and dirty fun.

The Stampede Races

How do you Stampede? Why do you Stampede? Who cares! The Stampede is a mud run challenge. It is for everyone out there, to those who want to push themselves or for those who are just out for a fun afternoon crawlin’ thru the mud. Man,woman, young or old…The Stampede is all about how you run the course. It is not about who is next to you, or in front of you, or who you left in your rear view mirror. It can be whatever you want it to be.

The Stampede is donating $10 for every event registration to Special Olympics Kentucky, and they are offering everybody who registers as part of the SOKY Stampeders team a $20 discount as well! The SOKY Stampeders will run on Saturday, May 19.

To Register:

  1. Click Here to go to the Stampede Registrations Page
  2. Select "Join a Team"
  3. Choose SOKY Stampeders
  4. Enter the discount code "SOKY" to save $20 on your registration fee while still producing a $10 donation from The Stampede to support SOKY.

Mud runs like The Stampede are one of the hottest new crazes sweeping the country. You don't have to be a runner -- or even athletic -- to have a great time! Joins us for a great day while we run through the woods ... and over walls and under netting, all while supporting the great athletes of Special Olympics Kentucky.
